Leading international exhibition for the ceramics industry: ceramitec 2018

The biggest international meeting place of ceramics industry in Munich: the ceramitec.

Do not miss the biggest international meeting place of ceramics industry in Munich: the ceramitec.

Are you also there? Then you will find us in hall A5 booth 700 from 10th to 13th of April.

Please, contact us to arrange a meeting in advance (Mr. Daniel Mirbach; Tel.: +49 (0)241-93677-28; E-Mail: d.mirbach@schupp-ceramics.com). We are looking forward to your visit and interesting conversations. Here below we show you our novelties and services presented at ceramitec. Disocver our high temperature technology up to 1800°C application temperature.

NOVELTIES

Increasing the vertical range of vacuum formed parts made of polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW) up to 1800°C

At the beginning of 2018, an important milestone was achieved for increasing the vertical range of manufacture with the commissioning of an in-house vacuum-forming system in Aachen/Germany for the production of PCW boards and shaped parts sold under the names UltraBoard and UltraVac. The production plant has been designed in line with state-of-the-art environmental and safety standards.

Insulation shapes can be machined in the dry state or consolidated by means of pre-firing at high temperature and then machined. The plant design enables the processing of various bulk wools. Individually developed recipes can be included in the range in future. A pilot plant is available for this purpose.

New Process Temperature Control Ring ZTH for the temperature range from 560°C to 660°C

For the temperature range from 560°C to 660°C you will receive the new ring type PTCR-ZTH. The ring is a cost-effective, ceramic measuring tool that allows precise recording of process heat. It completes the six already existing rings and shows the heat input already after 5 minutes in the furnace. The new ZTH-ring has been developed, among other things, for fast firing processes. The short reaction time of the ring provides an optimal quality assurance.

MolyCom® – Electric Heating Elements made of molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2)

Industry standard, extra high-purity demands or particular oxidation resistance – SCHUPP® Ceramics provides electric heating elements for any requirements you may have. MolyCom®-Ultra 1700, 1800, 1850 and 1900 (new quality) are particularly long-lived and corresponds to the industrial standard. The heating elements permit application temperatures of up to 1830°C. MolyCom®-Hyper 1800 is the solution for particularly high-purity demands and permit discolouration-free sintering of zirconia, even at application temperatures above 1600°C.

MolyTec - Customised electric heating systems

MolyTec is an electrical, ready to install heating system, which combines intermetallic heating elements made of molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) and vacuum-formed insulation made of polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW). The system is fully compatible with all technically comparable heating systems and can be integrated into nearly any furnace system as e.g. oxidation/diffusion and LP CVD furnace system.

UltraBoard and UltraVac – Boards, cylinders and formed parts (PCW)

For thermal insulation, we deliver insulation boards and complex vacuum formed parts such as cylinders or half shells made of polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW) up to 1800°C application temperature.

ITM-Fibermax® – Needled blankets (PCW)

ITM-Fibermax® 1600 are needled, flexible blankets based on polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW) with 72% alumina content. The material is a very good substitution material for ceramic-fibre materials (RCF). The lightweight, shot and ceramic fiber-free material is particularly suitable for temperatures up to 1600°C and applications that require a very high chemical resistanceI.

PTCR – Process temperature control rings

Process temperature control rings PTCR are ceramic measuring tools that allow the measurement of heat input during the firing process. They monitor and document thermal conditions and ensure sustainable quality standards. A total of seven different ring types are available for the temperature range from 560°C to 1750°C.
